Kruess Optronic GmbH has come forward with yet an amazing improvement: by using only 0.3ml of testing fluid, you will get accurate measuring results. Additionally the density meter convinces with a measuring accuracy never seen before: in the measuring range of 0.00000 - 1.99999g/cm³, the measuring accuracy is 0.00005g/cm³. Whether you want to measure density, specific gravity or the concentration of liquid solutions: by this highly precise measuring instrument you receive results with five digits behind the comma. And even better: You receive your measuring result in only one second! Behind these improvements stands a new-developed micromechanical measuring cell which needs only 80µl of sample volume and provides an integrated temperature measurement of the sample. • Boehringer Ingelheim to Acquire Actimis Pharmaceuticals (Fri, 24 Jul 2008 17:46:09 GMT)  Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH have announced an agreement to acquire Actimis Pharmaceuticals, a privately owned biotech company based in San Diego. The acquisition will occur through a structured buyout in which Boehringer Ingelheim will acquire shares of Actimis depending on the achievement of several successive milestones with Actimis' leading asthma compound AP768. If AP768, currently in phase I clinical development, is successfully advanced into a phase III, Boehringer Ingelheim will own 100% of Actimis' shares. Upon successful completion of the entire development programme, the total deal will be worth US$ 515 million. Further financial details were not disclosed. The compound AP768 interacts with CRTH21 , a novel target for asthma and allergic rhinitis.
